This 12-session course provides an in-depth exploration of NASA - the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. NASA, headquartered in Washington DC, has 10 major centers and 8 additional research facilities located throughout the United States. NASA partnerships are also found in every U.S. state and many other countries. More than 18,000 people work for NASA! This course explores the major space centers, current missions, history highlights, space engineering concepts and internship opportunities, for kids who love NASA and for aspiring future NASA scientists.
Each class session will explore a different space center and discuss a variety of fascinating science research and space topics, as detailed below:
