A Beginner's Guide to Aerospace

In this 12-session live online course, students take a deep dive into aerospace concepts, engineering principles, space physics and rocket science!

About the Instructor
Prof. Mark Baraket (M.S. Astrophysics UC-Berkeley) is a Certified Science & Space Ambassador with the National Space Society, former NASA researcher and experienced aerospace educator.

Has your child ever wondered how rockets and spacecraft work? They can learn real rocket science with an actual astrophysicist and NASA scientist!

In this 12-session live online course, students will learn about a wide variety of aerospace, astrophysics and rocket science concepts including Kepler's Laws, Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation, centrifugal force, centripetal force, momentum, orbital mechanics, rocket design and new advances in space travel.

During the course, a variety of activities will bring aerospace concepts to life, including physics simulations, drawing activities, educational presentations, discussions and visualizations. Printable Homework Review Handouts will be provided after each class to summarize and reinforce learning.

Course includes:
- Twelve 50-minute live Zoom classes with Prof. Mark Baraket (Masters of Science, Astrophysics)
- Twelve printable Homework Review Handouts and printable Certificate of Completion
- Class size capped at 12 students for a small group learning experience
- Zoom recordings available for missed sessions
- Designed for ages 8-13 (grades 3-7). Younger children may participate with parental support.
